Teachers from across the state and their supporters gathering in downtown Raleigh for the second straight year on Wednesday to demand better funding for public schools and to meet with legislators. 

Educators are asking lawmakers to fund more support staff, ensure a $15 minimum wage for all school personnel, expand Medicaid, reinstate health benefits for future retired educators, and reinstate pay bumps for teachers who earn advanced degrees.
