2) What would your priorities be as a member of the town council? Please identify three of the most pressing issues Morrisville currently faces and how you believe the town should address them.
I’m committed to a transparent, actionable plan to make Morrisville thrive for all, with clear priorities:
Investing in Our Community & Future:
I’m committed to building a safe, connected town that supports families and future generations through smart, fiscally responsible investments in safety, infrastructure, and public transportation. By improving street lights, sidewalks, and expanding mobility with smart shuttles, we strengthen services and enhance accessibility—ensuring a thriving, inclusive Morrisville for all.
Increasing Community Engagement:
Stronger communities begin with engaged residents. I will promote open dialogue, civic involvement, and inclusive initiatives that empower every voice. Through collaboration and smart investment, we’ll modernize services and address traffic challenges—fostering a resilient, united Morrisville rooted in trust and transparency.
Aiding Environmental Management
Sustainable growth is a shared responsibility. I’ll champion greenways, conservation, and smart development—balancing residential and commercial expansion while preserving green space and our tree canopy. By aligning with fiscally responsible planning and reducing congestion through efficient transit, we can preserve Morrisville’s natural beauty while strengthening essential services for today and tomorrow.
3) What’s the best or most important thing the Morrisville town council has done in the past year? Additionally, name a decision you believe the town should have handled differently. Please explain your answers.
The new Town Center is the best step forward—it will bring families and businesses together in a vibrant hub. But the repeated tax increases could have been handled differently. We need fresh leadership focused on smarter budgeting, not higher burdens on residents.
4) President Trump is working to ramp up deportations and curtail visas. At the same time, the state legislature has passed laws requiring agencies to cooperate with ICE. What do you think the town council can or should do to ensure safe, welcoming communities for immigrants in light of these policies?
Morrisville is strong because of our diversity. My focus is keeping our town safe, fair, and welcoming for all families, no matter their background.
5) As climate change leads to more intense rainfall, communities are at greater risk of inland flooding, such as the historic floods in parts of the Triangle this summer. How would you like the town council to address climate resilience, particularly flooding?
To tackle flooding, we need stronger stormwater systems, smarter land use, and more green space. Morrisville must plan ahead so families and businesses stay safe as our town grows.
6) Federal funding cuts this year have hit the Triangle particularly hard, from cancelled grants to layoffs, and local government officials are having to make difficult decisions about what to fund and how. What are your ideas for how the town council can prioritize competing funding needs, close funding gaps, and support impacted residents?
When money is tight, my focus is on families first—keeping our town safe, fixing roads, and protecting services people rely on, while finding smart ways to save and partner so we don’t raise costs on residents.
7) Describe what sustainable growth and development mean to you in the context of Morrisville’s population growth and the plans for a new town center. Additionally, what is another municipality you believe has made smart decisions related to growth and development that could be similarly implemented in Morrisville?
For me, growth should make life better, not harder. That means planning for less traffic, more walkable spaces, and keeping green areas as Morrisville grows—just like Cary has done downtown. We can do the same here.
8) As with most places in the Triangle, Morrisville is grappling with issues related to affordable housing. How would you like to see the town approach affordability issues over the next few years?
Morrisville must plan for a mix of housing—so seniors, young families, and workers can afford to live here—while balancing growth with infrastructure and green space.
9) With its proximity to Durham, Cary, Raleigh, RTP, and RDU, connectivity and transportation are big issues in Morrisville. What should the town be doing to improve transportation and transit infrastructure, from getting road projects funded to investing in public transit projects?
As my experience and speaking to neighbors, we feel that connectivity is one of Morrisville’s biggest challenges—and opportunities. We need to work closely with state and regional partners to secure funding for long-delayed road projects, while also investing in smarter local solutions like improved bus routes, shuttle services, sidewalks, and bike paths. By planning ahead and pushing for transit options that connect us to Cary, RTP, and RDU, we can ease traffic, cut commute times, and make Morrisville a more accessible place for everyone.
10) What kinds of amenities would you like to see in Morrisville’s upcoming 25-acre town center project?
11) If there are other issues you want to discuss, please do so here.
Morrisville has the opportunity to build a cutting-edge innovation hub—an iconic model in the USA that blends business, technology, and community in one vibrant space.
Hence, the new Town Center should be a true gathering place for all of Morrisville. I’d like to see walkable spaces with local restaurants and shops, green areas for families, cultural and arts spaces, and venues for community events. Amenities like a library, senior and youth activity spaces, and safe pedestrian and bike connections will make it the heart of our community.
