Failed Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards has canceled a scheduled appearance at Hofstra University in New York, the second such cancellation in as many days, reports the News & Observer.
Originally, the event was to feature both the former U.S. Senator and his wife, Elizabeth Edwards, whose cancellation came prior to her husband’s.
Credit deadpan Hofstra spokeswoman Katie Davis. Asked what reason Edwards gave for opting out of the event, she replied, “I’m guessing personal reasons.”
