Durham’s ever-changing Southside neighborhood celebrated Halloween at the community center on Enterprise Street. I noticed fewer trick-or-treating children stopped by to get candy than on last Halloween, but those that did posed for a portrait.
Remembering Jaeden Sharpe
Jaeden Sharpe was 9 years old when he became Durham’s first homicide victim of 2014. Last January, he was shot and killed on Lucas Drive. On Friday, Oct. 3, family and friends celebrated what would have been Jaeden’s 10th birthday.
