Richard De Los Santos (13-4) tied the club’s Triple-A victory mark while Elliot Johnson went 4-for-4 with a pair of homers as the Bulls topped the homestanding Charlotte Knights 6-2.

The result dropped the Bulls’ magic number to five to clinch the championship in the International League’s South Division.

Johnson, who has 10 homers on the season, added a double and finished the night with three RBI.

Jeffrey Marquez (8-7) took the loss for Charlotte.

The three-game series ends on Wednesday night. Durham’s next home game is Aug. 24 against the Norfolk Tides.
