Lloyd’s Lounge has been a lot of things for a lot of time: Neighborhood bar, comedy club, undefined watering hole. Now this small white house on Rigsbee Avenue in the downtown Central Park neighborhood could transform into Tootie’s, a bar, restaurant and community meeting space.

Tootie’s has launched an indiegogo campaign to fund the new venture.
Lloyd’s is directly across the street from the erstwhile Liberty Warehouse, which is being razed for new swanky apartments. If Tootie’s makes a go of it, the bar would add to the new businesses—two distilleries and the Blue Note Grill—in the popular neighborhood north of downtown.
Tootie’s better get on it: Real estate prices in this neighborhood are way up. We’ve heard—and yes, this is a rumor and has not been verified—that the asking price for a parking lot topped $1 million.
