Durham Food Truck Rodeo

At Sunday’s Halloween-themed Durham Central Park food truck rodeo, you can balance leftover candy with bites from some of the Triangle’s most popular food trucks. Leashed dogs are allowed, parking is free, and the forecast is sunny and mild, so there aren’t many excuses to miss the last DCP rodeo of the year.
Conversation + Cocktails with Brad Thomas Parsons

Brad Thomas Parsons is the laureate of bartending, and Kingfisher is the town’s buzzy new craft cocktail joint, so it makes sense for the author to make a stop at the “ground-to-glass” bar. For Last Call, a book of profiles, pictures, and recipes, Parsons asked bartenders across the country one macabre question: What is the last thing you’d want to drink before you die? The event includes a Q&A with Parsons and Kingfisher owners Sean Umstead and Michelle Vanderwalker and comes with two complimentary cocktails.
