Superchunk Covers The Misfits’ “Children In Heat,” Merge launches its 25th anniversary with a 7-inch series

In tribute to the holiday, Superchunk debuted a new Misfits cover, this time tackling the irrepressible “Children In Heat” with a faithful remake. It’s not the noted ‘Fits fans’ first tribute to Glenn Danzig’s cult-iconic punk band. In 2010, the band issued a cover of “Horror Business” and later offered it again on a 2011 Record Store Day split with Coliseum (who raged through a version of “Bullet”). And in 2011, Superchunk released a take on “Where Eagles Dare.”
