For the 12th consecutive year, WKNC 88.1’s Double Barrel Benefit returns in February as the station’s major annual fundraiser. Double Barrel moved away from a back-to-back two-night stint at The Pour House or Kings in favor of spreading shows out over a week last year, with one on February 7 at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro and the next on Valentine’s Day at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh.

That format continues this year: The station just announced headliners Spider Bags and Eternal Summers for shows on February 7 and 14 at the Lincoln and Cat’s Cradle, respectively. Spider Bags’ raucous, thrilling rock ‘n’ roll hails from the Triangle, while Eternal Summers’ dreamy, fuzzy rock hails from Roanoke, Virginia.

Openers for each night will be announced on January 5, and KNC is still looking for sponsors for the shindig. Tickets for each show are $12 in advance, and if you really like to plan ahead, you can pick up a pass for both nights for $22. You can go ahead and buy one here, and watch videos by Dan Schram from last year’s Valentine’s Day show below.
