Yes … I hear a pulse. For those of you who think downtown Durham is dead, you obviously haven’t been to Ringside, which has dance nights (with clued-in DJs), live music (alternative) on Thursdays and other special events in its renovated four-floor space. This Feb. 14, WXDU (Duke’s radio station), Pox World Empire and Ringside present the Loveless & Heartless Valentine’s Ball, featuring live music by The Sames, a relatively new Durham-based band (set to release an EP in March), alt-popsters The Sleepies and Little Miss Messy.
