“If you go to a Hank Jr. show, then go to an AC/DC show, you’re gonna see the same people,” says Hayseed Dixie frontman Barley Scotch, aka John Wheeler. “It’s all kind of rebel music.” Wheeler, with Don Wayne and Dale Reno, sons of legendary bluegrass banjoist Don Reno, made a career setting AC/DC and KISS to a bluegrass beat. Next up, Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” and Led Zep’s “Black Dog,” with Hayseed originals.

Hayseed Dixie and Rebel Son play the Lincoln Theatre Thursday, Dec. 9. Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
