Every Sunday in January and February at 2 p.m., the Eno River Association will be leading winter hikes on the Eno River. All the 3-to-4-mile hikes start from the Eno River State Park Headquarters (Few Ford’s Road Access Area) at the end of Cole Mill Road northwest of Durham. The hikes highlight and celebrate the accomplishments of the Eno River Association in 2001, including the launch of the Eno River Watch, the recent tour of the Little River basin, publishing of the Eno journal, land acquisitions along the river, and selection of a new executive director. All hikes are free, so just show up and go! Call 644-1806 for more information.
