Brazilian Carnaval 2002, a Mardi-gras celebration sponsored by the Brazilian Social Club, is an event that includes live music by Brazilian band Energia Brasil, who’ll be playing Carnaval tunes. A DJ will spin Axe, Samba and Forro music during the band’s intermission. Besides dance presentations and a Capoeira show, Brazilian food and drink will be on sale. The event takes place this Friday, April 26, 8 p.m., at the Durham Armory. Call 968-6142 or visit www.urhere.com for more information–the “ticket” is actually a Brazilian Carnaval T-shirt.
