In October, we sued the McCrory administration for public records we’ve requested this year. Last week, the McCrory administration complied with three of our outstanding requests: the Governor and his chief of staff’s HB 2 and Charlotte Ordinance emails through March 25, the administration’s emails concerning the Myths vs. Facts press release that was blasted out on official government social media channels including the Department of Environmental Quality, and correspondence the administration had with news networks after the HB 2 controversy.

We’re still waiting on answers to our other four requests, including emails from around the time state epidemiologist Megan Davies resigned, emails surrounding the cancelation of the Progress NC garden party, and communications between McCrory and members of his staff.

Below, you’ll find the governor and chief of staff’s emails, as well as the emails regarding the HB 2 press release.
