The offending -- and offensive - Murry poll card.

Short and sweet. Murry, the Republican in House District 41, is NOT — repeat NOT — supported by the N.C. Association of Educators. The NCAE, which represents teachers, endorsed Murry’s Democratic opponent, Cary Councilwoman Gale Adcock.

This is not stopping Murry’s campaign from handing out cards to voters at the polls, which are shaped like NCAE’s signature apple, with the words SUPPORTED BY THE NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATORS in big letters following by a box with a check mark next to his own name.

On closer inspection, the weasel words above the big letters are a tip-off that the NCAE isn’t really backing Murry, but you have to get your magnifying glass out to notice what they say.
