You have the right to rock, and the right to choose. Enjoy one right and defend the other at “Rock n’ Roe” this Thursday, as a great lineup of local musicians–Glory Fountain, Shannon O’Connor, Regina Hexaphone, Ameliorate, Destroyed by Kittens, and Lise Uyanik and the Mobile City Band–fill the Cat’s Cradle. Proceeds from the $10 ticket charge will benefit the Planned Parenthood of Central NC Action Fund and the fund to support the 2004 March for Women’s Lives. This is a great opportunity, especially for those who can’t make the April 25 action in Washington, D.C. This is the 31st anniversary of the landmark Roe V. Wade decision, and political action campaigns like these are crucial to making sure we can celebrate that decision for many more years to come. Doors open at 7 p.m., show at 7:30 pm.
