Click for larger image • Ayacucho, Peru, is known as as "Sevilla Peruana" (Peruvian Seville, Spain) for its religious festivities of Semana Santa (holy week) and "Ciudad de las Iglesias" (city of the churches). This particular feverish Christian revival was held in an auditorium, with a full marching band and a tambourine choir calling for people to join in the worship service.
