After a period of radio silence, and some pointed nudging by this very publication, Moogfest has announced the โ€œfirst waveโ€ of performers for the April 25-28th festival happening in Durham. Two months out, Moogfest has yet to announce specifics of venues, workshops, and the full schedule and lineupย but, presumably, thoseย nitty gritty details are to come.ย

For the 15th iteration of Moogfest, psychedelic space-rockers A Place To Bury Strangers and IDM artist Richard Devine will each play 4-hour sets, while ambient stalwart Tim Hecker is back to perform with the Konoyo Ensemble. U.S. Girls return to the Triangle after their 2018 performance at Hopscotch, still on the heels of 2018โ€™s avant jazz pop hybrid โ€œIn A Poem Unlimited.โ€

Martin Gore of Depeche Mode will be part of a โ€œcreative exchangeโ€ conversation, and concertgoers can bring a pillow and blanket for William Basinski โ€œsleep concertโ€ in the overnight hours. Other headliners include Matthew Dear, GAS, Suzi Analogue, Mez, The Field, and Kimbra.

You can peep headliners and a full announcement hereย and purchase ticketsย at the link.
