Chapel Hill has an affordable housing crisis—that much is clear. This $10 million bond won’t fix that. But it will help the town build four hundred new affordable units and preserve three hundred existing units, and that’s not nothing. And advocates say that $10 million from taxpayers would leverage $35 million for affordable housing from other sources. That’s not nothing, either. We wish Chapel Hill had gone bigger, but this bond is worthy of your support.
