Just before the application deadline cut-off at 5:00 p.m. today, Stephen Douglas Burke, an accountant with the N.C. Department of Transportation placed his applicant with the Chatham County Board of Education for consideration as a recruitment to fill Col. Gerald Totten’s seat.
The school board will hold a special hearing Monday, Jan. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at which the school board will consider the six applications, and make their final decision.
