As the lone member of the Clang Quartet, Scotty Irving performs elaborate percussion solos that draw their inspiration from the passion of Christ. The opening act is a solo artist in a different vein: the blue-painted Torch Marauder intones paranoid duets with an evil televised alter-ego. These are two of the Triangle’s most original talents, and they’re playing Friday, June 6, at Nightlight, 405 1/2 E. Rosemary St., Chapel Hill. For more information, call 933-5550.
