Retrofantasma Film Series

Ah, Freddy Krueger … the man that nightmares are made of. Not since 1984 have we had the chance to see this Wes Craven classic on the big screen. The Carolina Theatre will screen a double feature of Craven’s films–The Nightmare on Elm Street and The Hills Have Eyes–this Friday, March 8. Heather Langenkamp stars as Nancy, the heroine of Nightmare, and the only one of her group of teenage friends (including boyfriend Johnny Depp) that can seem to stay awake long enough to survive Krueger, the knife-fingered murderer that preys on the teenagers while they sleep. Just remember, if you don’t wake up screaming, you won’t wake up at all. See “Special Showings” for details.
