Cinnaholic—the gourmet vegan bakery of Shark Tank fame—opens its new Cary location on January 10—the chain’s third in North Carolina and first in the Triangle. Between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on opening day, cinnamon rolls will cost $1 a pop. 

Sweet + Salt: A Bakery Pop-Up Series (Sat., Jan. 11, 10 a.m.–noon)

The Durham Hotel’s coffee shop kicks off a new bakery pop-up series with some delicious carbohydrates made by Andrew Ullom of Raleigh’s Union Special Bread. Future Sweet + Salty pop-ups include appearances by Phoebe Lawless & Snack Service, Vivian Howard, and Boulted Bread.

At this ticketed dinner, Katsuji Tanabe welcomes fellow Top Chef alum Silva Barban of the Brooklyn restaurant and pasta shop LaRina Pastificio & Vino. The event begins a monthly guest chef dinner series hosted by Katsuji at High Horse; on January 14, High Horse will serve special dishes by Barban alongside the regular menu.
