Many local diners look forward to Triangle Restaurant Week with anticipation for the chance to either visit old favorites or sample new places at a reduced cost. If you’re one of those, you can circle your calendar and start making your plans thanks to today’s announcement that the next special week will be June 8 through June 14.
During the event, participating restaurants in the Triangle will offer a special, three-course prix fixe lunch menu ($15) and/or three-course prix fixe dinner menu ($20, $25, $30) each day they are open.
Organizers expect more than 80 eateries to take part in the dining event. It will start with another Beer Sunday gathering at Crank Arm Brewery. That kickoff happening will benefit VS. Cancer, a non-profit organization that works to support the fight against childhood cancer. It will be Sunday, June 7th at Crank Arm from 1-5 p.m.
Restaurants taking part for the first time include Carolina 1663 at the Sheraton Chapel Hill, Rye Bar and Southern Kitchen in the Raleigh Marriott City Center, The Oak Scratch Kitchen and Bourbon Bar in Raleigh (and a personal favorite of mine), Tribeca Tavern in Raleigh and Cary and Pho Pho Pho in downtown Raleigh.
