The end of the year unfortunately brings the end of Raleigh’s Quality Grocery. Or, at least, it brings the end of the shop’s current format. Dec. 31 is the store’s last day.

Word is that the owners are going to take some time to ponder their business model, according to a recent email to the local neighborhood group. Options they’re considering include taking on more of a bottle shop format or looking for potential buyers.

The INDY wrote about the grocery in July. It will be missed by the Oakwood neighborhood.
