Barack Obama was among more than 1,000 people who marched Sunday, March 4, 2007, across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala., to mark the 42nd anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” the opening of the 1965 voting rights march to Montgomery.
