The Greater Raleigh Convention & Visitors Bureau is reaching out, according to a Gay City News report. And Echelonmagazine.com has a fuller account of the planning that’s underway between bureau officials and leaders of Raleigh’s and NCSU’s GLBT communities. A meeting last week underscored that “Everyone is Welcome” in Raleigh:

The meeting closed with a strong sense of positive excitement about the project that we all will be working toward and launching for our City, Raleigh GLBT Visitors and residents. Everyone generally agreed that this first meeting to implement the Raleigh GLBT Visitor Program places Raleigh into the big leagues of USA cities working to attract GLBT visitors, businesses, meetings, events and conventions as well as informing the World that ‘Everyone Is Welcome” in Raleigh.
